Purpose

This standard defines how RSYSTEM should choose between Vercel, Cloudflare, Hostinger VPS with n8n, and Render for different web publishing needs.

It is a practical deployment routing document for websites, beta apps, surveys, landing pages, previews and backend-heavy services.

Core Recommendation

Use 2-3 publishing layers rather than one universal provider.

Recommended core stack:

  • Vercel,
  • Cloudflare Pages / Workers,
  • Hostinger VPS with n8n.

Optional buffer:

  • Render for backend-like workloads and longer-running services.

Provider Roles

Vercel

Use Vercel for:

  • Next.js projects,
  • production UI,
  • preview branches,
  • beta deployments,
  • frontend-heavy apps,
  • AI-assisted workflows that benefit from CLI and MCP.

Cloudflare Pages / Workers

Use Cloudflare for:

  • fast landing pages,
  • cheap or free static sites,
  • surveys,
  • simple beta pages,
  • edge-oriented experiments.

Hostinger VPS + n8n

Use Hostinger VPS with n8n as:

  • automation hub,
  • workflow router,
  • webhook receiver,
  • publishing orchestrator,
  • notification and status layer.

Render

Use Render as:

  • optional backend provider,
  • place for longer-running jobs,
  • Docker/service hosting option,
  • fallback when Vercel or Cloudflare are too frontend-oriented.

Recommended Routing

Need Preferred target
Next.js UI Vercel
Preview deploy Vercel
Landing page Cloudflare Pages
Survey / simple form Cloudflare Pages
Automation workflow Hostinger VPS + n8n
Backend service Render
Long-running process Render

Automation Interface

The selected provider must be controllable through at least one of:

  • API,
  • CLI,
  • MCP.

This matters because RSYSTEM publishing should work with coding agents and n8n, not only through manual clicking in dashboards.

Decision Rule

If only two deployment places are needed:

  • Vercel,
  • Cloudflare.

If three deployment places are needed:

  • Vercel,
  • Cloudflare,
  • Hostinger VPS with n8n.

Render should remain an optional fourth layer until there is a clear backend/runtime reason to use it.

Relationship To Publishing Automation

This file answers "where should this go?"

web-publishing-automation.md answers "how should it move from code to URL?"

Together they define:

  • provider choice,
  • deployment route,
  • automation layer,
  • URL/status/log capture.

website-generator-stack.md adds the related "which stack should generate this?" decision before hosting is selected.

Next Actions

  • Use this standard when designing the website generator module.
  • Use it when deciding hosting for RS360, landing pages and demo apps.
  • Revisit Render only when a project requires backend/service runtime.
